Over-the-counter glandular thyroid products

Some products sold online are made from animal thyroid glands and marketed as natural thyroid support. They are not regulated for dose or content, can contain actual thyroid hormone in unknown amounts, and can be risky, especially alongside prescribed medication. Prescribed thyroid medication, managed by your clinician, is measured and monitored. Unregulated glandulars are not.
